Using Bear Interlockers

Bear Interlockers requires a level foundation, of a sufficient height with horizontal and vertical rebar confirmed by applicable code. Bear Interlockers require the use of a hand level, string line, hammer, snap line, circular masonry saw and feather wedges.

Bear Interlocker utilizes a revolutionary three step SAT process:
1. Set the concrete bond block on a level foundation, over the rebar where necessary.
2. Align the concrete bond blocks next to each other.
3. Tap a Bear Interlocker into the recessed notched between the concrete bond blocks.

It is strongly recommended that the first course and every course thereafter, remain level. The use of feather wedges can ensure that the courses are level when there are small discrepancies. As additional courses are completed, rebar should be placed in a vertical position, inside the recessed notches and on top of the Bear Interlockers. The rebar should be firmly secured to the horizontal rebar which was placed into the foundation. It is recommended that vertical rebar is positioned in every third course or as required by applicable code.

After the structure is completed, the cells should be completely filled with grout and a concrete cap may be placed on top of the structure.
